Ahmed Zainal is a Bahraini techno, house, and electronica producer, DJ, and live artist who has spent more than twenty years inside the region’s music scene. His productions and performances move between minimal, bassline-led deep house, percussion-infused disco and breakbeat, harder techno, and leftfield electronica.

The common thread is movement: Arabic, African, and Latin American rhythmic influence woven into the places, collaborators, and communities around him. Earlier aliases and projects, including QWRK, Ed Buzzerk, Slim Fit Tea, XO, and Jazz X Machina, trace a restless history of collaboration and experimentation. Current and future work is released simply as Ahmed Zainal.
